Silence

Only silence was heard.

There was no whistle to the breeze;

Not a single chirp from a bird,

Just a river meandering in ease.

There were people standing,

Their voices were unheard.

They were at the sky staring;

Wondering what had happened to the world.

Only silence was heard.

The scenery turned blank.

Nature retracted,

and the river left its bank.
